Short-notice appointments available for Olympic athletes, officials and spectators!
The number of athletes, back-up teams and officials who are expected to attend the 2012 Olympic Games is expected to total 40,000. That’s a lot of mouths for the Olympic caterers to feed and the law of averages suggests that some of these participants are bound to suffer dental problems during the Games.
And then there are the spectators; those visiting London in order to see the world’s most famous sporting occasion might also fear that their enjoyment is marred by dental problems arising when they are thousands of miles from home.
Luckily, help is at hand as London dental practice Ethicare is set to offer an emergency treatment service during the duration of the Games (27th July to 12th August).
Ethicare is located in Wandsworth, south London and its expert staff are happy to provide emergency consultations for athletes, their families and tourists during the Games.
An out-of-hours contact number can be found by phoning the practice on 0208 870 5059; the practice’s answering machine message will give you the emergency mobile phone number of Dr Glafcos Tombolis, who runs the practice with his wife, Klaudia.
Glafcos and Klaudia have great experience of alleviating the pain associated with the most common causes for seeking dental treatment (problems necessitating treatment often relate to dental decay, abscesses, wisdom teeth and broken teeth).
Consultations cost from £50 and the practice can usually accommodate patients who are in pain on the same day or within a 24-hour window.
So, if you are in London during July and August and pain threatens to blight your involvement in the Olympics, don’t hesitate to get in contact!
And don’t forget that Ethicare’s expert staff aren’t just there to provide pain relief; they can also provide specialist tooth-whitening and Botox treatment. These quick, one-off procedures are suitable for most patients so if you want to look your best while attending an Olympics event do get in touch with us.
