What about out of hours?
Call 020 8870 5059. The answerphone gives you Dr Glafcos's emergency number, or, when he is away, another trusted practice in south-west London and the local hospital dental services.
Out of pain first. Then a plan.
A dental emergency is usually pain from decay or an abscess, a broken tooth after a knock, a lost filling or crown, or trouble with a wisdom tooth. The first job is to find the cause and make you comfortable, which often means a temporary repair, a dressing or antibiotics where they are genuinely needed.
Once you are out of pain we explain what happened and what the options are, from the most conservative up, with a written quote. If your own tooth can be saved, that is where we start.

Is it an emergency?
If you are in pain, swollen, bleeding, or a tooth has broken or been knocked out, call us. If you have suffered a serious facial injury, go straight to A&E; once you are stable, any dental treatment can be carried out here. If you are unsure, call anyway and we will tell you.
