Cookie Policy
This page explains what cookies and similar storage ethicaredental.co.uk uses, and how you can control them.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. Similar storage built into the browser (session storage) does the same job. Some are needed for a site to work; others measure how the site is used or how advertising performs.
What we use
These are set when you visit the site.
| Name | Set by | Lasts | What it does |
|---|---|---|---|
| et_form_sent | ethicaredental.co.uk (session storage) | Until you close the tab | Notes that you have just sent us a form, so the confirmation page records it once. |
| Name | Set by | Lasts | What it does |
|---|---|---|---|
| _ga, _ga_0K9VYTEKFM | Google Analytics | Up to 2 years | Tell visitors apart with a random number, so we can count visits and see which pages are used. |
| Name | Set by | Lasts | What it does |
|---|---|---|---|
| _gcl_au, _gcl_aw | Google Ads | 90 days | Record that a visit came from one of our Google adverts, so we can tell which adverts lead to enquiries. |
| calltrk_ cookies | CallRail | Up to 1 year | Show a phone number that tells us which source a call came from. |
| utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, gclid, gbraid, wbraid | ethicaredental.co.uk (session storage) | Until you close the tab | Remember the advert or campaign you arrived from, and attach it to an enquiry form if you send one. |
We do not use cookies to show you personalised advertising on this site.
Films and maps
Some films on this site are hosted by YouTube and the map on our contact page is provided by Google Maps. They may set their own cookies when you play a film or use the map. Those cookies are covered by Google's privacy policy.
Controlling and removing cookies
Most browsers let you refuse, restrict or delete cookies in their settings; how you do it varies from browser to browser. The site still works if you block them. You can also stop Google Analytics on every site you visit with Google's opt-out add-on: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
