It has been a busy month here at Ethicare Dental, we have had 3 study group meetings. The first was given by our consultant Paediatric dentist, Joanna Johnson.
The title of the talk was an ‘Update in Diagnosis, Prevention and Treatment Planning. Molar Incisor Hypoplasia and Other Dental Anomolies’. The talk was interesting and informative. Joanna is truly an expert in her field and delivered her talk in an assured way. She held our interest to the end and we were full of questions which she was more than happy to answer.
The second talk was given by our Consultant Prosthodontist, Steve Bassi and was entitled ‘How to Choose the Right Case for Implant Treatment and How to Put the Implant In The Right Place’. This was a hands-on course and we all had the opportunity to place implants in fake mandibles using the Xive System by Dentsply Friadent. The Xive system is a favourite of Steve’s. The talk was well attended and enjoyed by all. This talk was re-arranged from February 3rd when we had the snow storms and it was well worth the wait.
The final talk was given by Yvonna Szyszko, our Specialist in Oral Surgery. The talk was a great referrer for us General Dental Practitioners and everyone was impressed with Yvonna’s vast knowledge in her field.
I would like to thank Fleur Batten, Practice Manager, and Bineeta Patel, Dental Nurse. We think that we take care of our dentists on the study group evenings almost as well as we take care of our patients. The catering at Ethicare Dental is legendary.
