As a father of three children, Glafcos takes children’s dental health very seriously. Each child who attends the practice is given a thorough dental examination. For children of 5 years and over a hygienist appointment can be arranged if appropriate. Dental examinations for under 5s are free of charge and young children are given motivational stickers, appropriate advice and a clean teeth certificate.
We are dedicated to providing a welcoming and friendly environment, helping your child feel comfortable in both the practice and dentist chair. We believe that getting young children used to the dentist from an early age stands them in good stead for a lifetime of excellent dental health.
As general dentists, we will carry out simple fillings and emergency treatment for children at the practice. We feel that more complex children’s dentistry is best carried out by a paediatric specialist and such is our commitment to dental excellence that we are one of the few practices in West London who has a paediatric specialist working here. If your child requires braces or teeth straightening, our orthodontist works here on a Saturday.

We strongly recommend that you bring your children to your own dental examination appointments from a very young age, to get them used to the dental practice environment. When their first teeth erupt, we can begin taking a look inside their mouth to check everything is developing properly. When your child is around 3 years old, we will begin performing a more thorough check.
You don’t need to make an additional or emergency appointment when your child’s baby teeth begin falling out. This is a normal part of their development, and will start when they are around 6 years old. At the next scheduled examination appointment, we will be able to take a look and ensure your child’s permanent teeth are coming through correctly.
