Priti is a Consultant in Orthodontics at the Eastman Dental Hospital, UCLH and an honorary lecturer at University College London. She treats patients with complex orthodontic needs requiring multi-specialist care and trains orthodontic specialists. She treats patients of all ages and uses a full complement of orthodontic appliances including Invisalign, fixed ceramic braces, lingual braces, removable and functional braces. She is a Gold II Invisalign provider.
Priti loves helping her patients achieve their perfect smile and is also interested in guiding a child’s dental development from a young age, to give them the optimal smile throughout their childhood and school years. Her particular specialty is in looking after patients with missing teeth (hypodontia), and autotransplantation for missing or traumatized teeth.
She obtained her Masters in Science degree in orthodontics from the Eastman Dental Institute, University College London in 2009 and qualified as an Orthodontic Specialist in 2010, when she was awarded the 3M Unitek Prize for the best overall orthodontic student graduating from the Eastman Dental Hospital in her year. She subsequently undertook a further two years training at the Eastman Dental Hospital, UCLH and Kingston Hospital, Surrey, and was awarded her Fellowship in Orthodontics in 2012. She is a member of the British Orthodontic Society and the European Society of Orthodontics.
In her earlier career, Priti qualified with BDS Honours in 2002, from Guy’s, King’s & St. Thomas’ Dental Institute (King’s College London). While there, she was awarded several prizes and awards, including the distinguished Newland Pedley Medal for Restorative Dentistry and the Jelf Medal for the best all-rounder dental student graduating in 2002. She undertook a House Officer Post at Guy’s Hospital and West Kent Community Dental Service, gaining experience in all aspects of dentistry including the management of anxious children.
Outside dentistry, she loves travelling, trying to grow vegetables and diving. She is also passionate about animal welfare and recycling to minimise her environmental impact.
